Sabrielle Jahangir

Sabrielle Jahangir is a junior neuroscience major pursuing a minor in Linguistics, and is a member of the Grey Matters Journal (GMJ), an undergraduate neuroscience publication at UMD. Her research interests include understanding the physiology of the emotional experiences of music, as well as the evolutionary history of neural systems dedicated to music and language processing. Last semester she wrote an article for GMJ called “Why Your Parents Hate Punk: The Cross-Cultural Physiology of Music”. She enjoys writing, playing in a band, drawing, and playing soccer.
